Check out this unique new way to remember your day! If you look closely you can see that this picture is created by tons of tiny little words. Textographer.com breaks down your photo and replaces it with the texts of your choosing to mimic the original.  And, what a great way to remember a special part of your day by incorporating your vows, all of the guests that attended your wedding, or song lyrics from your first dance.

Make your Ordinary Event a Smash Hit

We’re in the twenty first century and it’s time to step away from the cookie cutter model. Not everyone has the time or opportunity to focus on all the nitty gritty details so here are some great steps to help your guests remember your event for it’s uniqueness.

1. Go Bold or Go Home – Simple updates can make a big impact. For example, instead of a traditional bouquet, carry floral printed paper flowers. Or incorporate something that says “you” into your favors such as a family crest-shaped cookie.

2. Get It In Writing – Upgrade your guest book with something unique that you’ll want to look at over and over again. Choose another option such as bride and groom Mad Libs. This is such a cute idea and gets your guests involved.

 

3. Light It Up – One of the best ways to take your event from amateur to amazing is with killer lighting. It also can be more budget friendly than many of you would think. No matter what your theme is, building the right atmosphere makes all the difference.

4. If You Feed Them, They Will Come - Swap boring old buffets with food bars that people can really enjoy. Who doesn’t like s’mores, nachos, or mac ‘n’ cheese?

5. Take It Outside – Tents are a blank canvas and give you endless opportunities. Think of all the possibilities you can do with lanterns alone!

I absolutely love the energy that can be created by a simple upgrade to your dance floor. Whether you want the cool effects of liquid fusion, the electricity of LED’s or the elegance of custom printed vinyl, Holo-walls can make it happen!

5 Hot Trends You’ll See from the Royal Wedding

All the hype is beginning to die down but for weeks all we were hearing about was the royal wedding and what Kate was wearing or who was in attendance. Whether you loved her dress or hated her bouquet, weddings over the next few years are bound to feature aspects we saw in the royal wedding.  Here are the top 5 trends experts are saying we are most likely to see:

1. The “green” aspect. Westminster Abbey was lined with beautiful tall green trees. It was simple and elegant and we’ll definitely see the eco-friendly concept in many forms, big and small. Like the royal wedding, you can donate your greenery to a community park or even plant them at your own home to help the environment.

2. Sleeved wedding gowns. Wedding dresses have been strapless for quite a few years now. Experts believe Kate’s ballgown which featured beautiful lace sleeves will start a comeback for the classic romantic silhouette.

3. Smaller meaningful bouquets. Kate’s bouquet was much smaller than that of Princess Diana. Also, the flowers she choose to have all had a special meaning to her. For example, one of her flowers was lily of the valley which symbolizes sweetness and renewed happiness. I expect to see this much more often with a definition of the meaning of the bouquet included in the ceremony programs.

4. Bridesmaids in white. Although this is typically unheard of in the United States, Pippa and the flower girls looked absolutely stunning. Contrary to what many would think, it did not take away from the bride yet enhanced a simple, pristine, elegant look. This is something we are definitely going to see.
